Problem

The old website had a hard time attracting customers and securing bookings because it was difficult to use. It didn’t effectively show the luxury and top-notch service they offer, which made potential clients unsure and less likely to trust them.

Solution

We redesigned the AQUA Expeditions website to boost customer trust and enhance their luxury brand image. First, we held a workshop with the client to discuss essential design elements like colours, typography, graphics, and layout. After understanding their preferences, I showed two options: a classic design and a more creative one. The client chose the creative option.

I then presented two different options that expressed the identity of the original brand, where I could also bring a new modern vibe to the Cruise and Yacht essence.

Following the client's selection of Route 2, we designed the various website pages: the Homepage, Navigation/Booking bar, Destination Overview, Destination Details, Cruise Ship Overview, Cruise Ship Details, Blog Overview, Blog Article, General Content Page, and contact us.

I made a big change to improve the section below the hero. The client wanted more engagement, and this section was too similar to the one that followed. To better capture the user's attention, I created a more engaging concept. I added a curtain effect that reveals the content inside, allowing users to learn more about this section. After I built a prototype, I showed it to the client, who loved the idea.

The interactive itinerary improved user experience by presenting each day in an engaging format, complete with an animation that zooms in for a closer look.
